Hiring a Wedding Filmmaker Last-Minute

Last-minute bookings for wedding filmmakers are more common than you might think. By “last-minute,” I typically mean within 30 days of the wedding date. Surprisingly, some of my favorite weddings each year are booked less than a month in advance, with many secured just a week before the big day.

As a boutique service, I limit the number of large weddings I can document annually. When I receive a last-minute request, it’s often for 4-5 hours of coverage rather than 8-10+ hours or a full wedding weekend.

I welcome weddings of all sizes and styles. My tailored hourly approach makes it easy to adjust services based on each event’s unique scope. Whether you’re planning an intimate gathering or a multi-day celebration, I can accommodate your needs, even with short notice.

I know we finalized things with you kind of last minute, but it’s one of those things where we’ve said at least a dozen times already “thank goodness we decided to go through with video” and “how lucky are we that Allison just happened to know Meg and she was free”. I imagine our gratitude will only grow more as more time passes and our memories get a little fuzzier.

Special thanks to their planner Allison for connecting the dots, and to photographer Jill Hoyle. Her genuine warm nature brought out the best in this couple and created a collaborative experience for us to work along side her.
