Wedding Filmmaker Adventure Recap for May! It’s Spring in the White Mountains! A diverse season for weddings and adventure! I love the unknown weather factor for April and May celebrations. You could get an unseasonably warm day or you could be saying “I do” in a snowstorm. Either way, you will definitely be avoiding the bugs. Since my last photo update we have been to the Omni Mount Washington Hotel for Chris and Katie’s wedding, over to the Mountain Top Inn in Vermont for Amanda and Gregg’s weekend bash, and then back to VT to Twin Farms for Ashley and Alex’s weekend long event. I wish I had a pedometer for that one – WOW, we logged some serious vertical running around the property. I highly recommend checking out both Mountain Top and Twin Farms websites. I had never been to either so we enjoyed exploring with camera in hand. Twin Farms runs a private ski area in the winter… ok, so who wants me to film there in January? Sign me up! Thank you to Amanda and Gregg for your incredible hospitality at Mountain Top Inn. Staying on property was a treat!

I managed to sneak in a few days of skiing – both human powered. The garden is in full swing, we have been eating fresh asparagus daily and expanding to double our potato and onion crop. I took a night out to enjoy some good Maine Humor with Brea McDonald of Brea McDonald Photography, her sister and respective husbands, at the Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield, ME.  (SMAC is not pictured, that is a barn in Jackson, NH I drive by on occasion.) Sitting front row and center, Comedian Bob Marley had a field day with our table. Brea and Scott were the focal point of many jokes and we all had gut busting laughs at their expense – all in good fun. Our friends Sam and Kyle are expecting and when we were helping clean up after the baby shower Kyle presented us with the sign he made for the “baby” shower and parking… It also happens to be a perfect sign for our garage where Blanca the Sportsmobile lives. Considering we can do everything in the van but take a shower, we all had a good laugh. You had to be there.

Photographer Joe Ciarcia organized a Northern NH meet up so we convened over beers, a big lentil dish, giant salad, and a ton of laughs playing Cards Against Humanity with photographers Anne Skidmore and Brian Post (bottom group photo).

More trips to VT, MA, and ME in coming weeks! I’m looking forward to salad season – our lettuce is growing so fast!

We worked with photographer Stacey Hedman in VT, she is the smiling one below!  She took the middle and right photo on the top row and the one on the left with the boats.

Twin Farms was quite the adventure. Rolling hills, jaw dropping architecture and a private ski hill! The property can host about 44 people so most of the guests enjoyed staying in nearby in Woodstock VT.
