Rocky Mountain Wedding? Breckenridge Bride Plans Destination Wedding in NH!

Driving around the west is one of my favorite things to do for vacation, and there has been no shortage of adventure while on the road. I could ramble on about off the beaten path Rocky Mountain wedding venues like the Vagabond Ranch, that I was introduced to thanks to Colorado wedding photographer Lisa Seaman McKendry… or I could marvel at the grandeur of exquisite venues such as the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch at Beaver Creek in the Vail Valley. However, this story ties a Breckenridge Bride to my home town of North Conway, NH.

It was snowing and we wanted to go Nordic skiing. I called the number on the Breckenridge Nordic Center website and asked how the conditions were, then the super friendly woman on the other end of the phone says, “You are from NH.” I said, “Did my friend call ahead and tell you we were coming? How did you know that?” Well, she knew the “603” and one thing lead to another, so before you know it Heather and I were chatting up a storm because SHE is a destination bride planning her wedding from Breckenridge to my home town! She has never seen the venue, The Stonehurst Manor, that I grew up two doors down from. Unreal circumstances! I happened to have a huge library of photos with me from NH Elopements so I showed her the grounds, the venue, and gave her tips on where to dine and have fun. I skied in the fresh snow and then parted with Heathers amazing vegan and gluten free shiitake mushroom crackers and I’m looking forward to their arrival in North Conway in May. A new friend gained, a wedding connection made. I just love these small world situations!
