An amazing, inspirational and emotional look at one cancer survivors story.

Jen’s Friends Cancer Foundation is a non-profit here in the White Mountains of NH. They provide supplemental financial assistance and other resources to cancer patients and their families in the Mount Washington Valley who are uninsured, underinsured, or financially challenged, allowing them to focus on battling cancer without worrying about the indirect financial burdens that often arise. Think gas cards for the many radiation treatments at hospitals 2 hours away, food cards or rent assistance for patients unable to work or pay their bills while navigating their treatment protocol.

Thanks to a generous donation by The Valley Originals (local mom and pop restaurants in the MWV) they cover all operating expenses so every dollar raised through Jen’s Friends goes directly to a person and neighbor in need.

My friend Sara is on the board of Jen’s Friends and thought it would be fun to profile a recipient of Jen’s Friends who is working hard to pay it forward for the generosity he received.
