August 2014 Wedding Adventure Recap!

August Weddings in New England are popular and this year couples had one extra weekend to choose from. There were five Saturdays instead of  the typical four. We started out on Lake Winnipesaukee at Brie and John’s celebration. You can see photos from the event by The Hinkleys, with Emily Herzig Floral Studio, and Mindy Rossignol of Private Weddings and Events. We then pointed the Sportsmobile North to Lincolnville, Maine. I felt like I was living my own Maine Magazine “48 Hours” as the weekends festivities kicked off at Cellardoor Winery.  On my way to film Saturday morning I randomly ran into MacKenzie and Phillip of Ink Spot Crow Films. So great to finally meet them in person. There was a chartered boat ride on Schooner Olad out of Camden, ME followed by a “Bistro Night” singalong in French and English, then the wedding on Sunday working with Amy Wilton Photography at Point Lookout.

We had the pleasure of filming Matt Forcier of LMV-Productions wedding at the Wentworth by the Sea, he’s an incredible wedding filmmaker and storyteller, and I was so humbled to document the day for him. No pressure, no pressure! Their photographer was Shannon Cronin, Flowers by Jardiniere Flowers, Hair by Hair That Moves, Makeup by Joya Beauty and The Wedding Belle executed the day.

I attended a wedding professional meet and greet at Hardy Farm (thanks Anne Skidmore Photography for the great new action shots! SO much fun!)  From there we went to OceanCliff in Newport and then to Martha’s Vineyard where we had the opportunity to work with Corinna Raznikov. If I added up all the miles it would be a few thousand. If I added up the smiles it would be a few thousand more.

A random Sunday roundevouz on my scooter with the MacDonald sisters, a visit from Mike Novelli of Rising Moon Films in Colorado, Spring Smith’s baby shower, a visit from The Warren’s, breakfast in the Sportsmobile while filming the Newport Bridge. I know I missing stories about my niece, my birthday, the giant zucchini’s, the 5 lbs of butter beans, and 60 cucumbers we have harvested. Maybe between the filming and editing in September I’ll find time for a photo op with the 30 butternut squash that are still on the vine in my back yard. Thanks to Brea McDonald Photography and Trish from Snap! Weddings for allowing Blanca the Sportsmobile to sleep over. She loves to socialize!
